Anastasia Sharipova is the new Russian record holder at the Backyard Ultra race. She ran 51 laps (341.7 km).

Anastasia was the only girl among 8 participants who did not leave the course on the third day of Biotropika in Korobitsyno village. The previous women’s record from 2022 was held by Irina Masanova (45 laps).

The rules of Backyard Ultra are simple – every hour participants go out for a 6.7 km lap and have to meet the 60-minute deadline. A new hour is a new lap. If a runner fails to make it back to the finish line or fails to make another start, they get a DNF. The last person left on the course wins.

A new Russian men’s record was also set at the race.
