Why did I decide to ride the Biotropika (BUT)? From my side, this may seem like a strange decision. Whoever has been watching my life for more than a day knows that because of Rodion’s affection, I have been running only with him for almost 4 years and the distance is no more than 21.1 km. And the race according to the rules of the backyard involves a rather long participation and running in the same circle at 6706 m. And the race itself took place quite far from Moscow — more than 100 km from St. Petersburg, which is technically quite enough for my family, who does not have a car uncomfortable. Traveling with two children, a large jogging stroller, two backpacks on your back with a bunch of transfers is quite difficult. So why is it anyway? Everything is simple. When the organizer Nikolai Kotenkov invited me, I could not refuse. Firstly, I have long wanted to personally see and hug Nikolai. The acquaintance, which began with an article that I wrote about him for the Marathon magazine, grew into an interesting conversation. And the more I watched his vigorous activity, the more I was surprised at how much creative energy this person has. He succeeds in everything, no matter what he undertakes. And all this at the highest level. And this understanding was the second reason why we went. Nikolai organized not just a race, but a whole family holiday Biotropika Fest. And for me, as a connoisseur of family events, this is very important. And I was sure that the holiday would be truly unforgettable. Thirdly, my husband and I love to visit new places, and the starting town was located in a really beautiful and interesting place — the village of Korobitsino on the territory of the Zolotaya Dolina ski resort, where there are mountains, a forest and a beautiful lake. My husband just loves these types. Fourthly, now I participate only in those starts where the organizers allow running with wheelchairs. And in this my position is fundamental. I believe that everyone should be able to go to the start, including mothers with children. After all, circumstances can be different. And not everyone can compete alone. Therefore, I especially appreciate those rare organizers who provide such an opportunity. When I asked Nikolai if I could run away with Rodion, he said no problem. And I realized that there really are no problems. And I realized that there really are no problems. It was the best run I have ever taken part in! Everything from the choice of location to the organization itself was excellent. And two medals and two mugs — for me and Rodion at the awards was a wonderful cherry on the most delicious cake! And even rainy weather did not spoil the holiday. Biotropika BUT
